These leggings were first created simply for pairing with tops in National Picnic photo shoots, and surprise, customers asked for them.
Leggings are everywhere. But these are NOT polyester or nylon like the athletic ones. Sewn right here in the U.S., AND of U.S. milled fabric (which in the legging world, makes them pretty rare and special). So they'll stick around on the website for those who want them, made to order. Allow about a week to sew before shipping.
Thanks for asking about them and letting us know why you like them. The cuff at the ankle, nice touch. They seem to be just the right length. They hug your leg, but not skin tight. See the photos, they are worn pretty true to size.
Most fans of these wear them for layering—under clothing that covers the butt. We've processed a lot of feedback on these! If you prefer the type of leggings advertised as shapewear, or standalone pants, these soft, comfort-instead-of-compression leggings are probably not for you.
One customer does love them for yoga. National Picnic didn't think it made yogawear, but it makes perfect sense. So much stretch.

Very comfortable and nice fit. I’m 5’4” 140lbs and small is perfect. The waist fits high which I prefer. Have three pairs and have been wearing them since they arrived! Also, was very nicely.

Why bombshell? It's the slimmest fitting, scoopiest neckline in the brand's collection. A good choice for when you need less bulk to tuck into skirts and show waistbands. Layers well. Nice as a base under blazers and jackets. Upper arm coverage with wide cuff trim. Raglan sleeve. Jersey knit, 4 way stretch. Falls to hip.
A true workhorse of a style, this flattering basic is available in several colors.
It is sewn of Rayon/Spandex blend (silky sheen, heathered colors, fabric is milled in the Northeast USA). Yarn-dyed heathered colors have a textured look and a soft hand. "Solid Black" isn't heathered. "Stripe" is made of alternating Black and Sky yarns.
This top does not have a loose drape like many other National Picnic styles. It needs a little cling so the neck doesn't fall open when you lean forward. Expect a closer to body fit, but not super tight. Size down for a little more va-voom.

What is slim fit? Our "Slim" styles fit closer to the body fit than other styles. It hugs your waist more. It's meant to be that way, for people that don't prefer the looser drape of our classic Picnic fit styles.
Made from a premium milled-in-the-USA Rayon/Spandex, has a silky hand and subtle sheen, medium weight and generous 4 way stretch.
Slim means arms fit close right up to shoulder (slides easily into jackets and sweaters, and fits closer to torso with a gentle hourglass curve at the waist. A great layering piece.
Size down for even more body-conscious snugness, it will rise to the occasion with its generous stretch. Sizing down also works well if you're using it as an underlayer for the coldest days.

Jeans-meets-pajamas in a lighter weight denim with wide leg style.
High-waisted, gathered elastic waistband for pull-on style. We do not stonewash or distress the garment after sewing. The weight of this denim makes it naturally softer, with a swingy drape. A polished denim look that becomes more broken in over time. These are wide and straight, not wide and flared out near the hem. Patch pockets and topstitching down the outside leg seam.
Yours may be sewn to order, allow about a week to sew before it ships.
Two lengths are offered:
Regular: a good choice for 5'6" women and under. It is intended to have a playful shorter look at average heights, they will likely graze or show ankle, depending on your height. 37" on the side seam from top of waistband to hem, 26" inseam.
Long (3 inches longer than Regular): Appx. 40" on the side seam, measured from top of waistband to hem. Appx 29" inseam. Try LONG if you want to wear a longer length, want it to graze or cover heels, plan to hem it (by yourself by your local alterations specialist), or are a taller gal.
When using measurements to decide fit, please note that this pant's higher waist sits at the smallest part of the waist. These can be shipped with a raw unfinished hem for you to tailor, reach out and request.
