Fans of this hat love their cap-shaped look.

Are you a fan of wool? Fabric made in Italy, thick and plush, these hats emerge from the scraps our Boiled Woolen Sweater that are too precious to waste. We only sew as many as the scraps make possible. They have chunky, thick, richly sculpted tactile details. 

Did we say "wool" enough? To avoid any misunderstanding, if you have ever had allergies/sensory issues with wearing wool, these hats aren't for you. Wool is both on the outside of the hat and against your head.

This hat is an average adult head size, with stretch to go over most heads without feeling too tight. We designed a looser fit for less hairdo smush, but will still cling and stay on.

This all purpose size seems to fit the bill on all but the smallest adult heads. If you know yours runs small, feel free to reach out, we can help!

Hand wash COLD and dry flat if needed. Do not put in the dryer.

Another classic skirt shape with three stepped, gathered tiers with a moderately full A-line shape. Elastic waistband. This seersucker version does not have pockets. These seersucker cottons have a vintage look and are naturally puckered by design. Yarn-dyed plaid.

This is a longer sleeve version of the instant favorite Cottage Blouse, in lightweight cotton prints.

Elastic gathered neckline. Freely drapes over the torso with a loose blousy fit. Elastic cuff sits past the elbow. Moderate length can be tucked in. 

Fit notes: Order true to size. 

Best Care:
Hand or machine wash cold with like colors. Air dry, or you can tumble dry a nearly top carefully on lowest heat to help shake out wrinkles (remove immediately after tumbling). Avoid hIgher temperatures that will excessively shrink natural fibers.
Iron on cotton setting.

Our popular 3/4 sleeve made with thicker fabrics that work with this style. These winter-weight combos featured here use heavier flannel for the sleeve and a body that's a french terry material. Will have some more structure because of its thickness—drapes away from body.

National Picnic Signature Tops thrive on creative pairings of new fabrics each season, but it's the fit that is just as special. Not a generic fit—they have been thoughtfully designed to consider women's figures, pleasing in a diverse range of body shapes and sizes.

It's designed to drape loosely over the torso when worn true to size, and not get stuck on the hips. Not meant to fit snugly; however, some women order a size down to show more curves through the bust area. Even then, it will still remain somewhat loose-fitting. Woven sleeves can only size down so much (they don't stretch)—so if tight is how you roll, this is not the top for you.
