It's designed to drape loosely over the torso when worn true to size, and not get stuck on the hips. Not meant to fit snugly; however, some women order a size down to show more curves through the bust area. Even then, it will still remain somewhat loose-fitting. Woven sleeves can only size down so much (they don't stretch)—so if tight is how you roll, this is not the tee for you.

This is the original dress style from our successful Kickstarter launch years ago. It's in regular rotation in the shop—a customer favorite.
Your dress may be made to order. Allow appx. one week to sew yours before shipping.
This season's offering: We sourced Made in the USA 20 oz. cotton blend has some recycled poly to help keep shrinking to a minimum. Do you remember that favorite college sweatshirt you had back in the day? This is that same classic, thick, structured material, brushed on the inside. Snuggly warm, drapes away from the body.
Longer than average sleeves are designed to be rolled to show the soft, brushed side of the fabric. Dress isn't meant to be tight/snug. If more fitted is your thing, you might want to order a size down or choose a different dress entirely. Think "sweatshirt" for this one. You wouldn't expect a sweatshirt to cling.
80% Cotton 20% Recycled Poly Machine wash cold, and air dry or tumble dry on low. Avoid higher temps when washing and drying. Sewn in the USA of USA-Made Fabrics

What happens when our popular sweatshirt style is made using an exquisite wool textile? Wools embrace you in a rich visual composition of fibers, durable and warm. Stand out from the synthetic: Fabric is imported from Italy, thick and plush, with richly textured pattern interest woven into it.
Are you a fan of wool? Because heads up, these are WOOL. Did we say wool enough? To avoid surprises when it arrives: if you have ever had allergies/sensory issues with wearing wool, this isn't for you.
These are thick and cozy with long sleeves, a crew neck and and a curved hemline that falls to hip.
Sized to fit over another layer.
Will drape away from the body with some structure. It isn't meant to be tight or snug.
Hand washable, made of wool, exclusive of trims. Made in the USA of Italy origin fabric. Hand wash COLD water, air dry. Do not put in dryer. Can be dry cleaned.

Are you a fan of wool? Fabric made in Italy, thick and plush, these hats emerge from the scraps our Boiled Woolen Sweater that are too precious to waste. We only sew as many as the scraps make possible. They have chunky, thick, richly sculpted tactile details.
Did we say "wool" enough? To avoid any misunderstanding, if you have ever had allergies/sensory issues with wearing wool, these hats aren't for you. Wool is both on the outside of the hat and against your head.
This hat is an average adult head size, with stretch to go over most heads without feeling too tight. We designed a looser fit for less hairdo smush, but will still cling and stay on.
This all purpose size seems to fit the bill on all but the smallest adult heads. If you know yours runs small, feel free to reach out, we can help!
100% wool
Hand wash COLD and dry flat if needed. Do not put in the dryer. Made in the USA of imported Italian fabric.

"Loose" cuff hangs freely away from the arm, "Gathered" has elastic along the arm opening, it gently hugs the arm for additional poufy detail.

I’m a longtime sewist of many clothes for myself and for grandchildren. At 64, I am no longer interested in clothes that don’t fit my lifestyle and me. I like to supplement my own makes with beautifully made separates, that I can mix and match with what I have, and represent a love for color and beautiful fabrics. In this case, I love the cornflower body of the shirt, and the textured fabric of the sleeves. I feel confident in everything I’ve ordered from National Picnic, both in its craftsmanship, creativity, and way of making something special to wear anywhere really, and add a splash of color and beauty!

The shirt fits me perfectly! I’m 60 and I’m more comfortable with a longer sleeve. National Picnic was able to accommodate my request for a slightly longer sleeve. The fabric is beautiful and makes me feel pretty! Thank you!

Cornflower top
The Cornflower is a favorite of mine in nature it is actually an herb and has medicinal properties. My new top does too, it is beautiful and makes me happy.
