It's a rayon print, giving it the "swishiest" drape. Poppy florals in rich reds on a deep blue background, poppy print is by artist Katarina Roccello. Other almost-gone prints, too.
Popover style top with short sleeves, curved hemline. Gathering detail at center back yoke. Gathered at center back, with a dropped-shoulder style back yoke.
This fabric is lighter but definitely opaque with a soft silky hand. The drape will fall toward the body, and it swishes with movement.
Machine wash or hand wash cold on delicate, air dry. Alternately, you may hand wash cold or professionally dry clean.

This is such a great blouse to dress up or down. I have worn it with jeans and flip-flops and under a suit for a conference, and received compliments for both. It looks especially beautiful and drapey crisply ironed, but my seven year old and I agree that it looks chic and casual wrinkled too!

These "sweater fleece" are thicker, warm sweatshirts. Sized to fit over another layer. Angled torso to flatter a woman's shape and curved, flat hemline.
These in particular have a sweater-like outside but the soft brushed fleecey inside you are used to with your favorite sweatshirts. Chunky and warm. Sleeves can be rolled to show the soft underside.
Will drape away from the body with some structure. It isn't meant to be tight or snug. Of course, you don't expect a sweatshirt to cling.

I’ll wear this all winter long. Just the right weight to me, not too heavy, not too thin, comfortable and can be worn with jeans or dressed up with different pants/skirt. Looking forward to more sweaterfleece options. Great fit, like the classic Picnic tees, not too tight.

Recent customer requests for a tee shirt dress have been answered! These recent color/print combinations of the Signature Tee Series can be ordered as dresses.
We're not quite sure of the demand for these dresses, despite some very vocal wishes for them. So they are sewn to order, allow appx. 2 weeks before shipping so yours can be made just for you.
The signature tee dress, like the top, is also designed to drape loosely over the torso when worn true to size. No pockets for this lightweight dress, it'll show lumps of whatever you haul around with you (pocket fans can check out the Wanderer Dress or the Bateau Swing Dress).
It's not meant to fit snugly, but the rule of thumb is order down if you want some curves around the bust. If tight is how you roll, this is not the dress for you.
Intended to hit above the knee, note we aren't equipped to industrially wash our garments before you wear them. Using recommended cold water wash methods, the dress can shorten slightly in first washing (~1"). Width shrinkage is negligible.
100% Cotton sleeve, 95% Cotton/5% Spandex shell. Machine wash cold, air dry. Do not put in the dryer.

This dress keeps getting requested by customers seeking more of this familiar style and fit—we like to introduce new batches in different fabrics to satisfy our own creative bent. Please read descriptions for current fabric properties and fiber content.
Blue cotton bouclé: These in particular have a nubby cotton sweater bouclé (yarn with loops producing a rough, nubby appearance on woven or knitted fabrics) surface, and a terry texture inside. Thicker, warm, has a tiny bit more drape toward the body than the black sweatshirt fleece...
Black sweatshirt fleece: Classic black sweatshirt material, brushed on the inside, warm and soft with a structured drape.
Sleeves are not hemmed, meant to be rolled to show the inside of the fabric. It isn't meant to be tight or snug. If more fitted is your thing, you might want to order a size down or choose a different dress entirely. Think "sweatshirt" for this one. You wouldn't expect a sweatshirt to cling.
Both fabrics, although different textures, are 100% cotton Machine wash cold, and air dry. 100% cotton, these fabrics happen to have been pre-washed prior to sewing, but we still recommend you don't put them in the dryer. Sewn in the USA of imported fabrics.
A dark pine colored field of flowers makes us think of shade-loving woodsy blooms. Graphic but organic composition of oranges and greens with touches of baby blue. Structured medium weight cotton drapes from the body, rather than clinging to it.
Keeping some of the best parts of a classic shirt—a back yoke, gathered detail at center back, the rounded shirttail hem—and styling it into an easy popover blouse. A semi-tailored look. Rounded neckline complements necklaces and scarves and 3/4 sleeves show off all of your favorite bracelets.
It's good at covering belly and/or tucking in, and hides most of the rear,but we don't think it's a tunic in the sense that it doesn't cover a lot of thigh.

"Foggy": Fog is a cloud that touches the ground. Sure sounds beautiful when you put it that way! Here is a very low-contrast combination of a textured blue swiss dotted chambray and a misty heather gray. Quiet, but not boring.
Sleeve is made from a finer quality cotton/linen blue chambray, with textured slubs and white dots. This top coordinates awesomely with any and all denim.

This shirt is beautiful- soft, feminine and impeccably made. I will definitely be purchasing more clothing from National Picnic. It’s so wonderful having clothing made in the USA by talented individuals.
