This is a 100% cotton version of this classic swing silhouette top. These are made from a medium weight double knit, with a super soft, almost plush hand. Our always available Ecovero™ rayon version can be found here.
3/4 sleeve. Even as the swing torso intentionally conceals the midsection, it pulls it off without looking oversized.
Clean lines, midcentury modern cool. This bateau style neckline is simply a slotted opening from shoulder to shoulder. Elegantly drapes right across the collarbone. Sophisticated and smart.
The fabric of the top folds in at the neck to create a clean edge uncomplicated by added stitches. Smooth any fabric at the neckline inward if it goes astray while popping it over your head.
Very roomy through though the torso. Falls to hip.
For this one, choose your size based on your shoulders. The neckline will appear strained/taut if you try on a size that is smaller than needed.
CLEANING NOTES Best care: Machine wash, cold water. Smooth it out with hands, laying flat to air dry. Iron on cotton setting. Processes to avoid: Do not put in the dryer, or use warm or hot water, it will shrink your garment (mostly in length but also a little in width). Do not use bleach.

These leggings were first created simply for pairing with tops in National Picnic photo shoots, and surprise, customers asked for them.
Leggings are everywhere. But these are NOT polyester or nylon like the athletic ones. Sewn right here in the U.S., AND of U.S. milled fabric (which in the legging world, makes them pretty rare and special). So they'll stick around on the website for those who want them, made to order. Allow about a week to sew before shipping.
Thanks for asking about them and letting us know why you like them. The cuff at the ankle, nice touch. They seem to be just the right length. They hug your leg, but not skin tight. See the photos, they are worn pretty true to size.
Most fans of these wear them for layering—under clothing that covers the butt. We've processed a lot of feedback on these! If you prefer the type of leggings advertised as shapewear, or standalone pants, these soft, comfort-instead-of-compression leggings are probably not for you.
One customer does love them for yoga. National Picnic didn't think it made yogawear, but it makes perfect sense. So much stretch.
Rayon jersey with a generous amount of Spandex to keep the knees from getting saggy. Waistband sits higher, near belly button. Great for a layer of warmth under dresses, skirts and tunics—when you're not wearing them as pajamas.

Very comfortable and nice fit. I’m 5’4” 140lbs and small is perfect. The waist fits high which I prefer. Have three pairs and have been wearing them since they arrived! Also, was very nicely.

Why bombshell? It's the slimmest fitting, scoopiest neckline in the brand's collection. A good choice for when you need less bulk to tuck into skirts and show waistbands. Layers well. Nice as a base under blazers and jackets. Upper arm coverage with wide cuff trim. Raglan sleeve. Jersey knit, 4 way stretch. Falls to hip.
A true workhorse of a style, this flattering basic is available in several colors.
It is sewn of Rayon/Spandex blend (silky sheen, heathered colors, fabric is milled in the Northeast USA). Yarn-dyed heathered colors have a textured look and a soft hand. "Solid Black" isn't heathered. "Stripe" is made of alternating Black and Sky yarns.
This top does not have a loose drape like many other National Picnic styles. It needs a little cling so the neck doesn't fall open when you lean forward. Expect a closer to body fit, but not super tight. Size down for a little more va-voom.

This season's offering: We sourced Made in the USA 20 oz. cotton blend has some recycled poly to help keep shrinking to a minimum. Do you remember that favorite college sweatshirt you had back in the day? This is that same classic, thick, structured material, brushed on the inside. Snuggly warm, drapes away from the body.
Longer than average sleeves are designed to be rolled to show the soft, brushed side of the fabric. Dress isn't meant to be tight/snug. If more fitted is your thing, you might want to order a size down or choose a different dress entirely. Think "sweatshirt" for this one. You wouldn't expect a sweatshirt to cling.
80% Cotton 20% Recycled Poly Machine wash cold, and air dry or tumble dry on low. Avoid higher temps when washing and drying. Sewn in the USA of USA-Made Fabrics

Love the shirt! Soft, stretchy fabric that is not itchy. I love that it is a basic shirt with a femine twist. It seems like it is made for a women's body and not unisex. And I love that it is made in the USA. So far washes well
